GURUGRAM: After a brief spell of rain on Saturday, city-based wildlife enthusiasts working for the rescue and relief of animals and birds had a busy time.
They received 10 calls throughout Sunday from residents requesting to rescue and spotted in their localities.
While seven rescue operations were successfully carried out, the snakes couldn’t be traced at three places. Two snakes — a spectacled and a rat — were rescued from Dhankot and Kherki Majra, and five monitor lizards (two of which were four-foot long, weighing 4kg) were rescued from Hyatpur, Gadoli Khurd and Kherki Majra.
